In a way we are all having mini yoga experiences in our day to lives… the deep sighs, shoulder rolls and instinctive little back bends which stem from a need to unwind and feel better.
The benefits through taking regular yoga classes are both clear and immeasurable. As a yoga teacher it is a delight to see students freeing themselves either in flowing movement or the quiet stilling effect of their own breath. I teach men, women and children and I see an increasing openness to yoga. Perhaps one day we will all be doing much more for ourselves than shoulder rolls. Perhaps we will be making time for yoga as regularly as we shower or bathe.
